Alice in WonderlandAlice's Adventures in Wonderland, more commonly known as Alice in Wonderland, is a popular work of children’s literature that was penned by Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, who wrote under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. Published in 1865, this literary work continues to fascinate kids until today. Additionally, the book has also been adapted into movies as well as plays, operas, ballets, etc. The main characters in the book are Alice, the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, the March Hare and the Knave of Hearts, among others. The story in the book goes like this – Alice is a young girl who is sitting beside her sister getting bored. When she sees a white rabbit dressed in waistcoat, she follows him down the rabbit hole and what ensues is a series of adventures. In the Wonderland, Alice witnesses several strange and unusual happenings; she comes across cakes that say, EAT ME, the Duchess, who carries a baby transforms into a pig, the Cheshire Cat disappears leaving its smile behind, among a spate of others. The tale is said to be playing with logic in certain places, as well as mathematical ideas. Alice in Wonderland has hooked children, as well as adult readers and engaged them.
