Batman

Batman is a fictional superhero co-created by the famous cartoonist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. The first Batman appeared in Detective Comics in 1939 and has since become a popular character. This superhero is different from other superheroes owing to the fact that he does not have any superpowers. Batman uses his gadgets and a bullet-proof bat suit to fight against his enemies.

Batman's secret identity is protected by his true persona, Bruce Wayne, a billionaire industrialist and philanthropist. Wayne’s parents were killed by robbers when he was a young boy. This led him to dedicate himself to the peak of physical and intellectual perfection. He chose the guise of a bat to fight crime. Batman uses his intellect, detective skills, science and technology and physical prowess in his war against crime.

Over the years, Batman has featured in newspapers, comic books, television series, books, radio dramas, television and several theatrical feature films. The first batman movie was released in the 1960s starring Adam West. Some of the notable batman movies include Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. The film Batman Begins, released in 2005, took a radical step by featuring the character back in his early years, unconnected to the previous film franchise. The movie was released as a prequel to the existing motion picture series. Several batman games and merchandise has been released over the years. The batman merchandise is very popular among kids.
