Chris Moyles

Chris Moyles is a well known radio and television presenter, most popular as the host of BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, The Chris Moyles Show. Born on February 22nd 1974, in Leeds, he started his career as a hospital DJ at the early age of 14. By 16, Chris Moyles joined Aire FM as a stand-in presenter and was eventually promoted as a presenter at RTL Luxembourg. Over the years, he gained extensive exposure at several radio stations across the United Kingdom such as The Pulse of West Yorkshire, Chiltern Radio, Horizon Radio, Signal 1, GWR FM (Bristol) and London's Capital FM. He joined Radio 1 in 1997, as the host for the 4-7 am Early Breakfast show. The immense popularity of this show resulted in winning him the Silver Sony Awards DJ of the Year.

He has also ventured into television, appearing in shows such as Top of the Pops, Big Brother's Big Mouth, Never Mind the Buzzcocks as well as in ITV1 show The X Factor: Battle Of The Stars. Chris Moyles has also penned his autobiography, The Gospel according to Chris Moyles: The Story of One Man and His Mouth, which was published by Ebury Press. The book covers his experiences, his journey from a teenage DJ show to becoming one of the countries’ favourite breakfast hosts on Radio One. The book is available at several online bookstores.
