Chris YatesChris Yates is a known angling writer with many books to his credit such as ‘Casting at the Sun’, ‘The Deepening Pool’, ‘The Secret Carp’, ‘Falling in Again’ and the recently released “How to Fish”. His books are widely read by both anglers and non-anglers. Chris Yates' books depict the joys of fishing, which is beyond just snaring fishes. Sitting and watching colourful fishes, according to him, is one of the most pleasurable activities to the extent that one can lose track of time. 'How to Fish', Chris Yates' latest book is certainly not an instruction book. It is about the approach one should take while fishing. He tries to instigate the magic of fishing, which has been lost today, courtesy of modern technology and instruments. Sitting at the river bank should be most adorning and relaxing activities. However, he admits that fishing can be very frustrating at times. Two of his other books – Casting at the Sun and The Secret Carp – are also about angling. However, the first one talks about the life of an angler; whereas the later one is about a day in the life of an angler. Chris Yates' work has been regarded as highly motivating for non-anglers and reinforcing the joy of fishing for anglers. |
