GardeningNature brings joy like no other. Public or private gardens, they both have the same objective –give pleasure. Gardening is the practice of growing or cultivating plants, flowers, fruits or vegetables. Residential gardening is mostly in and around a home. So such a garden could be part of a residence (backyard) or it may be part of the home (balcony, window ledge, roof or patio). Indoor gardening on the other hand is the cultivating of houseplants within a home, building or greenhouse. This would mean container gardening where plants are grown in any type of container, be it indoors or outdoors, like pots, planters, hanging baskets and more. Gardening also has another dimension that offers much joy to many. For instance, gardening in non-residential areas which include parks, public gardens (zoological or botanical gardens), theme parks, amusement parks, hotel lobbies, tourist attractions and more. In such cases, gardeners or special staffs are hired to maintain these green beauties. Water gardening is another form of this art that requires growing plants in pools or ponds. Landscape gardening is another style that offers pretty green scenery for all to marvel. There are plenty of gardening books available to assist anyone who wants to turn into a green thumb. |
