Weight Watchers is a company offering various dieting and weight loss products and services. This company was founded in the 1960s by Jean Nidetch. From the year 1978 until 1999, Weight Watchers was owned by the H. J. Heinz Company. The Heinz Company produces packaged foods bearing the Weight Watchers brand name. Its famous celebrity endorser is Sarah Margaret Ferguson, Duchess of York.

Weight Watchers usually offers two distinct programs for determining a person’s goal weight. The Programs are called the Flex program and the Core program. Its other weight plans include the Core Plan, the Flex plan and the Turnaround Plan. To protect people who are not actually overweight, Weight Watchers have a 'minimum weight' level.

Weight Watchers offer shopping guides and books on food recipes, eating out and so on. Some of the popular books include Family Power, Applebee’s, New Spring Cookbooks, Weight Watchers Frozen Treats, Weight Watchers 2007 Eating Out Guide, Weight Watchers Magazines and Weight Loss That Lasts. Other equipments made by Weight Watchers include Weight Tracking Scales of different types, database calculators, points calculators and switch organisers.
