Coffee Machine

Coffee machines brew coffee automatically. This common appliance is found in most households, offices, café and restaurants. One has to simply scoop coffee into the machine, add the desired amount of water and turn the machine on. But how it actually work is quite interesting. On the top of the coffee maker, a small bucket like vessel holds water. When cold water is poured into it, it flows to the bottom through a tube. The water then reaches the heating element of the coffee machine. When the machine is turned on, the heating element boils the water.

The boiling water then rises and flows out from another tube and drips into the coffee in the cup. Various kinds of coffee makers are available. For example there is an espresso machine, cappuccino maker and a standard filter coffee machine. The espresso machine makes a very strong Italian coffee drink called espresso. The cappuccino maker combines a shot of espresso with steamed frothy milk on top.
