DeWaltDeWalt is a company manufacturing power tools for construction and woodworking industries. The company was founded in 1924, by Raymond E. DeWalt and has its headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. DeWalt was reorganized in 1947 and started manufacturing radial arm saws and other stationary woodworking machines. The company was bought by American Machine & Foundry Co. Inc. in 1949 and it was sold to Black & Decker in 1960. In 1992, Black & Decker made a foremost effort to brand all its professional quality and high-end power tools as DeWalt. DeWalt today, manufactures and sells more than 200 different power hand-tools and 800 accessories. DeWalt took over the German producer for high end wood, ELU, in 1994.
