MilwaukeeThe Milwaukee Electric Tool Company was founded in 1924, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by A. F. Siebert. Currently, the company is headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin with its production services operating in Greenwood, Jackson, Kosciusko, Blytheville and Matamoros, Mexico. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of heavy-duty portable electric power tools and accessories. It manufactures products in 120 volts and 230 volts configurations. The Milwaukee Electric Tool Company’s product line includes circular saws, drills, reciprocating saws, driver drills, rotary hammers, hammer drills, bench grinders, band saws and sanders. In 1949, the company designed its first space-efficient right-angle drill. In 1951, the company manufactured the reciprocating saw called the Sawzall. In 1970, the Milwaukee Electric Tool Company designed and manufactured Hole-Hawg high-torque drill. The same year, it also introduced the first 1/2” professional pistol drill. In 1979, it manufactured the 4-1/2” angle grinder. The Super Sawzall reciprocating saw was introduced in 1991. In the late 1990s, a new line of miter saws and expanded cordless products were introduced. Other products launched by Milwaukee included the 10-amp, 0-3200 spm Super Sawzall recip saw and an 18-volt “Contractor Cordless” line of tools, featuring a Cordless Sawzall recip saw, Hammer-Drill, Rotary Hammer, 1/2'” D-Handle and Right Angle Drill, Impact Wrench, Circular Saw, Driver/Drill, Metal Cutting Circular Saw and Sawzall the Hatchet recip saw, among several others. |
