The company evolved from both Auto Union and NSU. The company now manufactures consumer models, racing models as well as concept cars among its wide range of automobiles. It is a compact executive car that was first introduced in 1995. The first generation of the A4s were manufactured from 1995 to 2000, the second generation was manufactured between 2001 and 2005, and the third generation from 2004 to the present. It was available as a four-door saloon, a five-door estate, or in two-door convertible form. Over the years, the car has undergone several improvements, retaining its demand and competitive edge. The Audi A4 was the first model in the Volkswagen Group to be equipped with the new 1.8 L 20V motor with five valves per cylinder. The A4 was also launched as a turbocharged version that delivered 150 PS (110 kW) and 210 Nm (155 lb.ft.) of torque. The new Audi A4 models are available with enhanced engines and safety measures. |
