BMW 3 Series

The BMW or Bavarian Motor Works is a German automobile and motorcycles company. It is the parent company of the MINI and Rolls-Royce brands. Established in 1913 by Karl Friedrich Rapp, the company is headquartered in Munich, Germany. The company launched the BMW E21 3 series in 1975. This series was launched to replace the 02 series.

The E21 3 series included three different models, the 316, 318 and 320. These models were equipped with four cylinder engine. The 320 was equipped with double headlights and a powerful 109 HP engine, whereas the 316 and 318 were equipped with 90 HP and 98 HP engines respectively. In 1975, the 320i model was introduced this model was equipped with mechanical fuel injection system. In 1977, the 320 and 320i models where replaced by a new 320 model, which was equipped with a six cylinder engine. In 1979, the series was modified and was given a small face lift. Its chrome mirrors where replaced with new black plastic ones and the dashboard of the cars were changed.

In 1982, the E30 3 series was introduced with three different models the 316, 318i, 320i and 323i. In 1990, the E36 3 series was introduced as a 4 door sedan. It was available in four different models the 316i, 318i, 320i, and 325i. In 1998, the fourth generation of the 3 series was launched as the E46 3 series. It was given a completely new design and was equipped with nice looking interior and powerful engines.
