BMW Z3Initially launched as the E53 in 2000, the BMW X5 is an all-wheel drive luxury crossover SUV. It is powered by straight-6 and V8 engines. European models feature a 3.0 L diesel engine. When it first came out in 2000, the BMW X5 was offered with only a 4.4 L V8 engine. In 2001, it came with the high-performance 3.0 L inline 6-cylinder engine. The 2002 model was boosted with a 4.6 L V8 engine that produced 340 hp and 350 pound-feet of torque. The 2004 version of the BMW X5 was upgraded with a tougher look along with new headlights, exterior colours, four-wheel driving system called ‘xDrive’ and engines. 2005 saw the BMW X5 revamped with Bluetooth kits and xenon HID headlamps. In 2007, the BMW E70 was introduced as the all new X5 SUV, replacing the E53 in November 2006. It was reengineered with BMW’s iDrive system and an optional third-row seat which increased the seating capacity from 5 to 7 passengers. It also features a refurbished dashboard with a large central display screen, Active Steering and reverse camera. The petrol models feature 3.0si 3.0 L inline 6-cylinder engine producing 260 hp (194 kW) or 4.8i 4.8 L V8 engine that produces 350 hp (261 kW). The diesel model features 3.0d 3.0 L inline 6-cylinder engine that gives 232 hp (173 kW). The new BMW E70 is now available at most BMW retailers. Used/second hand BMW E53 models are now on sale. |
