Box Trailer

A Trailer is an unpowered vehicle that is pulled with the help of a powered vehicle or trailer-towing vehicle. These vehicles are generally used for transporting goods and materials and are usually unpowered; however, there are some powered trailers also available which are known as potrailers.

Trailers are available in a wide variety depending on their intended use. Most trailer-towing vehicles have a ball at the rear of the towing vehicle that locks into an A-shaped socket at the front of the trailer. The popular types of trailers are horse box trailer, motorcycle trailers, box van trailers, and box trailers. Box trailers are van bodies or trailers with a cube-shaped cargo area. These trailers are also known as "box trucks." A box trailer is specifically made for holding most things and cargo. They are available in smaller or larger sizes and are generally around 14 feet to 24 feet long with a garage-like rear door, which can be rolled up. Most box trailers lack an entryway from the cab into the box. However, in some box trailers, the cargo area can be accessed even from the cabin through a small door. The driver would usually back up the trailer to a loading dock to load cargo into the trailer.

Most box trailers are usually used to deliver and transfer goods. Some box trailers are used as mobile refrigeration units also.
