CaravelleCaravelle is a popular commercial van produced by German automobile manufacturer – Volkswagen. The Caravelle name commonly refers to the Volkswagen Type 2, generation T3/Vanagon/T25, Volkswagen Eurovan (generation T4), or the Volkswagen Eurovan (generation T5). The Volkswagen Type 2 is a van generally considered to be the forerunner of modern cargo and passenger vans. The Volkswagen T3 generation, Type 2 vehicle was the last among rear-engined Volkswagens. Successor to the Volkswagen Type 2, the Volkswagen Eurovan was designed as the first front-engined van. First generation of the VW Type 2 Caravelle used the Volkswagen air cooled 1.2 L engine, which was capable of producing an output of 25 HP (19 kW). The second generation Caravelle, nicknamed as Breadloaf and Bay-window, featured a 1.6 L engine, which was capable of providing an output of 48 DIN HP (35 kW). The new VW Caravelle V6 produced by Volkswagen is the latest in this series. It is one of the most practical, multi-person vehicles in the market.
