CAT DA CAT D vehicle is a salvage vehicle which is damaged to some extent but can be repaired and has lower cost of repairs (COR). Damaged or salvage vehicles are generally put up for sale by auto dealers or by online shopping websites on behalf of insurance companies. Such vehicles are sold to the general public, finance houses and private companies. A damaged vehicle can also be put up for sale by private vehicle owners.
