Fiat PandaFiat automobiles launched the Fiat Panda in the year 1980 as a city car. The first generation of this car was manufactured from 1980 to 2003, which was sometimes called as “old panda”. The 2003 version was sometimes summoned as Fiat new Panda or Fiat Nuova Panda (in Italian). It boasted a box-like styling, using engines and parts from the Fiat 127 in certain areas, and also the air-cooled 652 cc two-cylinder power plant from the Fiat 126. In addition, it had dead axle suspended on leaf springs, plus features like the foldable rear seats that could also be removed altogether to increase the load space, and the front seats with washable and removable covers, removable fabric covered dashboard, and more. There were several variants of the Fiat old Panda and Fiat new Panda produced including Fiat Panda Super, Fiat SEAT Panda, Active Panda, Active Plus Panda, 100bhp fiat Panda, Dynamic Panda, 4x4 cross fiat panda. All these models are produced only in Tychy, Poland by Fiat Auto Poland. The 4x4 cross panda features differently shaped front and rear lights and additional side cladding. It boasts the 1368 cc FIRE engine that has four cylinders in-line with sixteen valves actuated by belt driven double overhead camshafts. The engine is under square with bore and stroke of 72 mm and 84 mm respectively, running at a compression ratio of 10.8:1. It was made available in January 2006 and September 2006 in Italy and Poland respectively. Fiat new Panda won the European car of the year title in 2004 and is currently produced for police departments, military agencies and forest services. |
