About Fiesta St

The Fiesta ST was unveiled at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show as an ultra-high performance version of Ford's best-selling supermini and the first production offering from Ford Team RS. The ST coupled sports-tuned steering and close-ratio gearbox to give stellar performance. Original Fiesta ST (2004) The ST, also sold as the Fiesta XR4 in some markets, was powered by the 2.0L 16v DOCH Duratec engine, delivering around 150 bhp in standard tune. This gave the ST a top speed of 129 mph. Suspension was lowered and stiffened and braking uprated to match the performance. The Fiesta ST was visually distinguished by its 17-inch alloy wheels, unique front and rear bumpers, side skirts, body coloured mirrors, handles and bump strips, along with front fog lights and clear side indicators.Inside, there were ST-branded partial leather sports front seats leather-wrapped steering wheel, unique ST sports gear knob, metal pedals, and silver-effect door pulls. Ford's 'Quickclear' heated front windscreen, theatre-style dimming courtesy lights, ST scuff plates, power/heated door mirrors, electrically-operated front windows, USB connection, tilt-adjust steering column and Immobiliser PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) rounded out the package. Fiesta ST EcoBoost (2012) In 2012, Ford introduced an updated Fiesta ST derived from the previous year's Fiesta Super 1600 Rally Car, powered by the most powerful Fiesta engine yet, the 1.6-litre, Duratec Ti-VCT turbocharged 16v engine, marketed as the EcoBoost. While only delivering 133bhp normally, this powerhouse was widely believed to give up to 196bhp in 'over-boost' mode - though only for a few seconds at a time. This was coupled to a six speed gearbox and torque vectoring system that emulated a limited-slip differential. There was also a three-stage traction control system, further upgrades to suspension and steering, along with numerous cosmetic tweaks.
