Golf R32From the stables of the world renowned car manufacturer – Volkswagen – the widely accepted Golf Series, debuted in 1974. Code named as Typ 17, the Golf was a perfect substitute for the aging air-cooled Volkswagen Beetle that ruled the hearts of many who desired a compact, small family car. Volkswagen introduced the golf R32, a successor to the original line up, in Europe during the year 2003. The VW golf R32 was a highly successful model and had immense product sales in the various parts of the world. This led to the VW Golf R32 being sold around various continents as the 2004 Golf R32. The Golf R32 epitomized the success of Volkswagen as a car manufacturer with a horde of features and improvements then available in the vehicle manufacturing industry. This array of additions to the Golf R32 was together termed as the Golf IV platform that included every performance, safety, and luxury feature, then. The Golf R32 sported a spanking new 3.2 L 24-valve VR6 engine that was capable of churning out 241 BHP and 236 lb ft of torque, an All Wheel Drive (AWD), a new 6-speed manual transmission, and independent rear suspension. The vehicle chassis sported either of the four colours: Black Magic Pearl, Deep Blue Pearl, Reflex Silver and Tornado Red. As per Volkswagen records, only 4000 units of the VW Golf R32 were initially manufactured to be sold out over a period of two years; the Volkswagen stock warehouse was depleted in span of les than 13 months. |
