Land Rover 110

Land Rover is a United Kingdom based sport utility vehicle (SUV) manufacturer. The company is based in Solihull, England. Maurice Wilks, chief engineer of Rover designed the first vehicle. The company launched its first SUV on April 30, 1948 at the Amsterdam Motor Show. Since then, the company has come a long way and has launched various models. Some of the popular models of Land Rover are Freelancer 2, Discovery 3, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The company has also designed a series of vehicles for UK Ministry of Defence.

Land Rover 110 was launched in 1990. It was called Land Rover 110 because of the length of the wheelbase, which was 110 inch (2794 mm). The vehicle featured a badge above the radiator grille that spelled out the name as Land Rover 110. A new diesel engine of 2.5-litre that provided 68 hp (51 kW) was introduced in the Land Rover 110. The engine had a better fuel-injection system and increased capacity. The vehicle interiors were revamped from the previous models. It had coil springs on all four wheels that ensured a smoother and comfortable ride.

Later, from 1990 the vehicle came to be known as Land Rover Defender 110. The name was changed in order to distinguish it from other models such as Discovery and Range Rover. One can either purchase a new Land Rover 110 or pick up one from a sale.
