Non RunnerNon runner cars are those which are in a deplorable condition, as such, they are termed “non runners”, since they are not movable. Non runner vehicles are often used as parts-bins for vehicles of the same type; this proves far more valuable and cheaper in most cases. Non runner vehicles may be repairable; however the costs of doing so are often very high. Therefore, non runner vehicles are stocked by garages as parts bins. Some dealers also buy non-runners if they are older car models and their body is in excellent condition. Non runner units of popular vehicles are of significantly more value, which is always higher than their scrap value. These units are excellent sources of spare parts, as some of the non runner units suffer critical damage to only one particular region. The rest of the vehicle might be in a better condition. Non runner vehicles that have been used less frequently call for significantly higher prices. Non-runner cars with major problems such as engine or transmission are much harder to sell, even for a decent price. Popular non runner cars include Vauxhall Corsa, Vauxhall Astra, Ford Escort, among others. Other non runner vehicles include bikes, scooters and 4 x 4s. One can also find popular classic non runner cars, which may come at a premium, since spare parts for classic cars are often in short supply. |
