Spares Or Repair

Spares or repair vehicles are vehicles which are accident damaged or those vehicles that have gone bad due to neglect and non-use. Spares or repairs as a term also refers to vehicle spare parts. Vehicles which are in neglect usually need servicing of their engines, and as such are repairable to a greater degree. Neglected vehicles might need their batteries to be replaced as vehicle batteries are more prone to permanent damage if not used for a long time.

Damaged vehicles can be an excellent source of spare parts. Some of these vehicles can be repaired and are better off as intermediary solutions. If the vehicle is badly damaged to the point that repairing it is not cost-effective, then it is often broken down and used as a parts bin. Usually, CAT A and CAT B vehicles fall in this category. The parts that are relatively untouched by damage are used and the rest of the vehicle is scraped.

Repairable vehicles may offer excellent value as they usually cost much lesser than their retail counterparts. These are popular with project enthusiasts who are looking for cheaper buys. In addition to project enthusiasts, these vehicles are popular options for car modifiers and tuners.
