Toyota StarletThe Toyota Starlet was a small car manufactured by Toyota, the Japanese automobile giant. The Starlet was launched in 1973, and production was ceased in 1993. The vehicle was launched as the Publica Starlet 40 series and came in the following variants: 2-door Sedan, 3-door wagon and 4-door Sedan. The engine choices included the 1000 cc and the 1200 cc. The Toyota Starlet was available in various grades, namely Standard, Deluxe, Hi-Deluxe, ST and SR. The 60 series, second in the line of the Toyota Starlet, was launched in 1978. The engine choices included the 1000 cc, the 1200 cc and the 1300 cc engines. This car was available in various trim levels, namely Standard, Deluxe (DX), XL, S, and SE. Next in line was the 70 series, which also saw the Starlet switch to a front wheel drive. The variants of this series included 3-door and 5-door hatchbacks. Launched in 1990, the Starlet 80 series featured a body style and interior that was more circular. In Japan, apart from the regular variants, other sports variants like the Gi and GT Turbo were also launched. The Starlet 90 series came in 1996 and was made available as a three or five-door hatchback. The model line-up included the base 1.3 Sportif and the premium 1.3 CD, featuring standard CD Player and Sunroof. In 1998, Toyota came up with the revised base 1.3 S models, loaded 1.3 GLS, and sporty 1.3 SR that featured lowered suspension, spoiler and sport exhaust. Purchasers of this car can also personalise their Toyota Starlets by getting personalised registration number plates. In addition, many used Toyota Starlets for sale are also available at quite reasonable rates. |
