These trainers include classics such as Adidas Gazelles, Stan Smith, Superstar, Spezial, Chile, Campus, Micropacers, etc. The Adidas Stan Smith trainers are the top selling trainers ever and have sold nearly over 30 million. Another popular Adidas offering is the Superstar trainers. The company launched the 35th anniversary limited edition Adidas Superstars trainers in 2005, to mark their 35th anniversary. The Adidas trainers were first made in the year 1920 by Adolph (Adi) and Rudolph Dassler. The trainers made their appearance in the 1928 Olympic Games at Amsterdam.
