Belstaff

Belstaff, an English garment manufacturing company based in Longton, Staffordshire, is renowned for superior quality waterproof jackets. The company is a pioneer in jacket technology and manufactures some of the best jackets in the world.

Eli Belovitch founded the company in 1924. The company started by manufacturing all-weather motorcycle jackets for men and women. With further advancements in the field of jacket technology, Belstaff diversified into producing different types of weather protection clothes and related accessories. Some of these accessories were hand gloves, sacks and specially designed goggles for the aviation industry.

One of the innovative creations of Belstaff clothing was the XL500 which was nearly non destroyable in normal use. It also launched a dedicated garment range for golf under the name, Vent-o-Lite in the 1980s. Belstaff also developed a unique cloth material called as Cotfort in 2005, in collaboration with a leading weaving mill. Cotfort is a top-end material made from cotton, nylon and Elastan fibres.

Currently, the company has a presence in different markets of the world like the Far East, Russia, United States, Australia and South America. Some of the popular Belstaff products are Belstaff jackets, Belstaff man shoes and Belstaff lady boots. The Belstaff Black Prince, a range of high performance motorcycle suit is a rage among youngsters.
