Lacoste Trainers

The green coloured crocodile logo on an athletic shoe or a trainer generally symbolises the famous brand name Lacoste. Lacoste is a French apparel company that sells high end clothing, sportswear and footwear along with leather goods and accessories such as eyewear, perfumes and watches.

Lacoste was founded in the 1933 by the famous French tennis player Rene Lacoste, winner of the 1926 US Open Championship. Rene Lacoste founded the La Societe Chemise Lacoste in partnership with Andre Gillier who was the owner of the largest knitwear firm in France at that time. Initially, the company manufactured only tennis shirts which Rene Lacoste had designed himself. All the tennis shirts carried the green crocodile logo.

Today Lacoste is one of the leading sportswear brands in the world and Lacoste trainers are equally famous among users. A trainer is an athletic shoe designed for sports activities that can also be worn as casual footwear. A trainer is usually used for running and playing basketball and tennis.
