Linda Bennett, from whose name the brand derives, has launched various innovative designs such as the ëkitten heelí as well as other new designs in womenís clothing and accessories.

A Londoner, Linda Bennett graduated from the University of Reading in 1984 with a degree in Land Management. She then studied shoe design and apprenticed in this at Paris. In 1990, Linda Bennett opened the first LK Bennett shop in Wimbledon with her own savings and a bank loan. After negotiating with suppliers from all over Europe, the first Bennett LK store broke even within just three months.

Linda Bennettís astute business policies and processes have won her and the Bennett LK brand several awards. Few among them are the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Consumer Product category) in 2002, the Best Womenís Footwear Retailer (UK Footwear Award) in 2003 and the Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year in 2004. In 2007, she received an Order of the British Empire from the Queen.

LK Bennett locates its outlets with studied precision .The are Bennett LK stores from Londonís Kingís Road to Parisí Rue de Grenelle reflect the most fashionable auras of each city. This shoe empire is now preparing to expand further. There will soon be six new stores, and Bennett LK is all set to launch millinery and jewelry product lines.
