Mens Leather Jackets
Jackets are a type of clothing, usually thigh-to-waist lengths, which may be worn by anyone from children to adults, and by both men and women. Jackets are made of various materials like polyester, cotton, linen, leather, etc. Leather jackets are one of the most popular jackets worn by people, apart from those designed for protective purposes. Bikers, military aviators, punks and police are usually seen wearing these jackets. They come in colours like brown, black or dark grey and are more common amongst men rather than women.
There are different types of leather jackets like flight jackets or bomber jackets, rocker jackets, etc.. Mens leather bomber jackets are usually made of flight silk nylon and sport an Indian orange lining. They consist of two slanted flap pockets on the front, two inner pockets and a zipped pocket with pen holders on the left sleeve. However, mens leather jackets for bikers can be styled in a variety of ways and be used for protective purposes or for fashionís sake. The rocker jacket or biker jackets used for protective purposes are usually heavier and thicker and sometimes equipped with armour. Ones used for fashion are lightweight and not much helpful during a motorcycle accident.
Mens leather jackets achieved iconic status in the Hollywood film industry in the late 20th century. Artists like Marlon Brando's Johnny Strabler character in "The Wild One" (1953), Michael Pare in "Eddie And The Cruisers", as well as James Dean in "Rebel Without A Cause" have served to popularize leather jackets in American and British youth culture from the "greaser" subculture in the 1950s and early 1960s.
