Thigh Boots

Thigh boots, as the name implies, are womenís boots with lengths extending till the thighs or above the knees. These types of boots are known to have ësex appealí and are generally worn with short bottoms. They are made from a variety of materials, most popularly leather. However, polyurethane, latex and vinyl thigh boots equally receive high demands. Thigh boots can also be made from natural materials such as silk. Most thigh boots have a sheen that makes them extremely attractive. For comfortable wearing, these boots have a zipper attached. Pull-on boots are also available in the market as an option. However, since they are not very convenient while wearing, they are less preferred.

The shape and size of the heels may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer or from designer to designer. Commonly, they are known to have three inches of point-heels. These boots may be extremely stylish, but they are also widely associated with sadomasochism. Nonetheless, many haute designers showcase such boots in their collections. One of the reasons may be the erotic implication that these boots have. The designs of these boots are more seasonal and last temporarily than any other type of shoes. For example, the collection of thigh boots showcased by designers in Fall 2004 and Fall 2005 had a tight fit and thin as well as pointed heels. Those showcased much recently (in 2006 and 2007 collections) have chunky heels and loose fits.
