Pokemon CardsPokemon was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995. It is a media franchise of the Nintendo Company. It got its name from the Romanized contraction of the Japanese brand called "Pocket Monsters" and also refers to 493 fictional species that have made appearances in PokÈmon media. Pokeman is the second most successful and profitable video game-based media franchise in the world, after Nintendo's Mario series. Pokemon properties have been merchandised as comics, animation movies, trading cards, toys and books. Pokemon cards are based on its video game series. These cards have attacks and hit points. One can do damage to the opponents cards equalling to their hit points and send them to the discard pile. There are three types of cards in the PokÈmon Trading Card Game which include PokÈmon cards, Energy cards and Trainer cards. A Full Deck of Pokemon cards contain 60 cards. These are used in Premier Events all over the world. This collection of collectible cards is very popular in the U.K. The Pokemon Trainers,, as the players of these cards are called, must complete the PokÈdex by collecting all of the available PokÈmon species found. The Game Boy Colour game called PokÈmon Trading Card Game by Nintendo in 1998 was based on the original PokÈmon games, but had trading cards instead of actual "monsters". |
