Apple

Apple Inc. is one of world’s largest consumer electronics manufacturing companies. It is an American multinational corporation based in California. Prior to January 2007, Apple Inc. was known as Apple Computer Inc. A range of personal computers, portable media players, and computer software and hardware is developed and sold by Apple Inc. The current Apple logo is a simple gray coloured apple, similar to its previous "Byte into an Apple" logo which was rainbow coloured.

Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded Apple in 1976 which was later legally incorporated in 1977. The first apple product was a personal computer named Apple 1 which was actually a motherboard. Apple II which was launched in 1977 went on to become hugely successful and established the Apple brand. It featured high build quality and superior colour graphics and an open constructional design. Apple is constantly researching and designing newer technology and software, thus coming up with better electronics products. Apple has also entered into a joint venture with Intel to manufacture the Apple laptop featuring the Intel chip.

Today, many of the Apple products like the Apple iPod and Apple Mac are market leaders. Apple iPods are portable media players whereas the Apple Mac is a line of personal computers.
