AORAOR Ltd (Authority on Radio Communications, Ltd) was founded in 1977 by Japaese Radio Amateurs Mr Takano (JA1AOR) and Mr Oshima (JA1EXM). This Japanese-based manufacturer’s product line has radio equipment including transceivers, antennas, scanners and frequency monitors. AOR is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The company has manufacturing facilities in Japan and the U.K. AOR launched the AR2001, which was the world’s first continuous coverage wide band monitor receiver in 1984. The AR7030 receiver by the company gave an exceptionally high performance and an enhanced microprocessor. It features a self-tuning variable bandwidth synchronous detector. This receiver is built around a TCXO frequency standard that provides the reference for all circuitry ensuring the ultimate benchmark in stability and optimum alignment. Its other features include pass band tuning ±4.2kHz, variable audio pitch tune on CW & data modes and a "variable bandwidth synchronous detector" for AM listening. The AR3000A has an increased search and scan speed. It receives coverage from 100 kHz up to 2036 MHz without any breaks in the range. This receiver features 400 memory channels arranged as 4 x 100 and 4 search banks, priority, frequency offset, frequency lockout, step adjust etc. Used and repaired AOR receivers are available online. |
