Initially, it produced custom drive units for the professional sound industry. These units had greater power handling capacity, created less distortion and were louder than the competition. The soft-dome mid was launched in 1976. It completely revolutionised studio monitoring. This unit became the benchmark in mid-range performance for both domestic and professional applications.
