Bose WaveFirst launched in 1984, Bose Wave stands for a series of radio receivers. Initially, this device integrated a cassette player, an AM/FM radio and two speakers into a single unit. Around a decade later, after intense research and development, another upgraded model was released in the market, followed in 1998 with the Bose Wave Radio/CD, with the cassette player being replaced with a CD player. In 2004, the Bose Wave design received more modifications with a front loading CD/MP3 player being introduced. Besides offering better sound quality, the control buttons were also placed in a more accessible location. Bose Corporation markets this player as the ultimate music system for the entire household. With lifelike sound and the ability to exactly reproduce one-half octave lower music notes, this gadget makes the listener seem like he/she is actually sitting through a live performance. The manufacturers claim that the sound clarity remains the same irrespective of the volume. Bose Wave is compatible with CD’s burnt on a computer too. The Bose Wave system can be easily controlled with a full-function remote control. A large display panel depicts details of the song being played, such as the artist name, song title and even the album name. This device can also be connected to an external MP3 player, television, computer or DVD player. A user can turn this device into a personal music system by plugging headphones into the jack provided. |
