Copland

Copland is a Denmark based company that manufactures high end consumer electronics. This company was founded by Danish designer OlÈ Mˆller in the early 1990s and is well renowned for its amplifiers and pre-amplifiers. OlÈ Mˆller was a staunch believer in valve amplification and was a pioneer in dispelling the myths regarding the reliability and performance of valve amplifiers. He laid an equal emphasis on design and ensured high build quality for all Copland’s products.

Copland gained prominence in the public’s eye in the 1990s, which saw the demand for Copland amplifiers soar to great heights. During this period OlÈ Mˆller formed a team of craftsmen, headed by Lars Pedersen, in the heart of the Swedish lake lands, so as to meet the increasing demand. The entire set up was situated in a specially-converted out of use timber mill. The first Copland products to enter the mainstream fray were the CTA 401 and CTA 501. Both these products achieved world wide fame due to their excellent sound and build quality. In 1992 the revolutionary and highly innovative CTA 301/504 combination was launched, which proved to be a greater success for the company.
