CyrusBased in Cambridgeshire, England, Cyrus is a specialist audio company, which produces high-end home entertainment systems. In the early 1980s, Cyrus was a part of Mission, a loudspeaker company. Their specialist stereo amplifiers bore the Cyrus brand name. In 2004, Cyrus Audio Ltd was formed when the management of Cyrus bought the assets of Cyrus Electronics. Cyrus has earned a good reputation in the international market for their excellent sound amplifiers. The shoebox-like half-size chassis of the Cyrus brand has become quite popular over the last few decades. With the advent of CD technology in the 1980s, several models of Cyrus amplifiers were developed based on two circuits: Cyrus One and Cyrus Two. The Cyrus One was the initial series that was launched, whereas the later series was known as Cyrus Two. In July 1984, hi-fi amplifiers were manufactured under the Cyrus brand name, and they were noted for their engineering and excellent performance. In 1992, the new Cyrus 3 amplifier was designed with an advanced digital communication system. With the aid of the proprietary MCBUS or "Master Control BUS" technology, the system could be controlled and operated more easily. Nowadays, Cyrus manufactures wide range of audio components for the international market. Their product range includes CD players, hard disk media servers and amplifiers. Cyrus hi-fi products are designed using innovative technologies and precision acoustics. |
