iPod Nano 4GBiPod nano is the fourth digital audio player launched by Apple. This digital player was unveiled on September 7, 2005 in place of the iPod mini. The iPod nano has combined features of both iPod shuffle and iPod. Being a flash drive player the nano is immune to skipping music files while the music is playing. The iPod nano has more flash memory space than the iPod shuffle, and has a mini colour screen and the click wheel as compared to iPod. The iPod nano uses flash memory, thus avoiding the use of moving parts that makes the nano far more durable that disk based players. It features a 65k colour display with a resolution of 176 x 132 pixels and measures 1.5 inches diagonally. The screen also offers higher resolution as compared to the older models, with one more line that the iPod mini. The nano is compatible with iTunes on Mac OSX or Microsoft Windows. The iPod nano is the first iPod to include a lyrics screen. The nano is 1.6 inches wide, 3.5 inches long, 0.27 inches thick and weighs 1.5 ounces. It has a battery life of 14 hours. In 2006, the second-generation nano was released which was scratch-resistant and was equipped with a brushed aluminium casing. The second generation nano is available in various colour options. Silver 4GB iPod nano, pink 4GB iPod nano are some of the popular 4GB nano products. The 4GB Apple iPod nano was initially available in green, blue, silver or pink, red was later on added to the product series. |
