Studer

Established by Willi Studer in the year 1948, Studer is a reputed Swiss maker of professional audio equipment. This company was setup in Zurich and has enjoyed tremendous success in the field. In the year 1994, this company was taken over by Harman International Industries, a manufacturer of high-end audio and system components.

The Revox consumer brand was originated by Studer before a group of private investors took it over. In 1967, the Beatles made their Sgt Pepper album with the aid of the Studer J37 recorder. The same year the Studer-Revox A77 recorder was released in the market after which it achieved considerable success.
