Sugden

Sugden is a brand representing specialist audio amplifiers, founded by James Sugden. Sugden’s first product was the A21, which was the world’s first commercial, solid state Class-A amplifier. This amplifier was revolutionary and for a long time was the reference range against which other amplifiers were rated.

The present range of Sudgen offerings include the A21a Series 2, A21SE, Bijou and Masterclass. The A21a has been the result of a continuous endeavour on the part of the company to improve the original circuitry of the A21. The latest in the A21a series incorporates enhanced performance, higher specs, and a host of other facilities apart from the untouched musicality of its predecessors. The A21a has garnered the status of a reference amplifier over the last two decades for its high-end music reproduction. The Bijou series from Sugden, also called the little jewel series, blends high-performance with contemporary aesthetic designing. The product offerings in this range include the HeadMaster, CDMaster, FMMaster, AmpMaster and MusicMaster.

The A21SE comes with more power, wider bandwidth and lesser distortion, as compared to the A21a. The Masterclass units come encased in aluminium, thus providing safe and secure housing for the gold plated circuit boards further enhancing their life. The products in this series are phono-amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, CD players, etc.
