Berenguer

Berenguer family has always been linked to designing and manufacturing dolls. These dolls were first designed by Jose Berenguer in 1944. In the 1950s, these dolls were considered a reflection of excellent craftsmanship and unmatched beauty. These dolls were sold under the name ’Berjusa’. The company was manufacturing the dolls in hometown of Castalla, Spain. Some of the popular dolls from that era include the Chelito and Pepin dolls. The original company dissolved in 1992 and the dolls are sold by the company, JC Toys Group.

JC Toys Group works with designer, Salvador Berenguer, son of the creator of Berenguer. Salvador followed in his father’s footsteps of designing dolls as he too possesses inborn talent for it. He began designing these dolls since 1967 and even today, he continues to strive towards perfection. The Berenguer dolls are made like small human babies. Some of the vintage Berenguer dolls are quite popular among collectors. The dolls are sold under the product lines Berenguer Babies and Dolls by Berenguer.
