Pippa

Pippa, a pocket-sized fashion doll, was manufactured by a U.K. company, Palitoy, between 1972 and 1980. The Pippa doll measured only 180 mms. It had an oval face and painted eyes and eyebrows. The thick eyelashes were made durable by two or three painted strokes. However, the well-detailed ears of the doll were located a little higher than those of normal humans. The nose of the doll was slightly upturned. All Pippa dolls wore pink lipstick, except for Mandy who had a peach-coloured lipstick. Most of the Pippa dolls had waistñlength, straight and silky hair. The colour of the hair ranged from blonde to black. This doll had flexible joints on all her limbs. Her hands had other intricate detailing lines such as the love line, the life line and finger nails. Besides, her palms faced down. Her toe had no details. The dancing doll version of Pippa appeared a little different.

The Pippa doll had numerous friends, accessories, apartments, a car as well as a salon. Different fashionable dresses of Pippa dolls included miniskirts, mini dresses and top and bottom combos. Also available were elegant, formal Pippa Doll dresses and outfits relating to various jobs.
