Babylon 5

The science fiction television series Babylon 5 was conceived as a novel: it had a defined introduction, middle, and conclusion. The novel was created, produced, and written by J. Michael Straczynski, who wanted to make a science fiction series that would spin around technology. This series revolutionised the use of computer technology in creating visual effects. The pilot episodes titled "The Gathering" aired in February 1993 and later in 1998 the following episode title "In the Beginning" was broadcasted. Not just a TV series, there have also been games based on Babylon 5. The central theme in this sci-fi series is the conflict between order and chaos, and the people caught in between.

In The Babylon 5 roleplaying game players have the opportunity to play humans, Centauri, Narn, Minbari, Drazi and Brakiri characters from the main rulebook. The television series of Babylon 5 has five seasons and all five seasons have been released individually in the US and the UK. The UK version of Babylon 5 includes all the films and the short-lived spin-off Crusade. The movie, game and DVDs are also available on many internet sites and physical stores. The current releases include Bounty Hunter, Heroes & Aliens, The Final Flight of Santiago, The Ragged Edge, Darkness and Light, Wheel of Fire, The Zocalo, The Fiery Trial, and so on.
