Bambi

Animation movies have been quite a rage since sometime now. The effect that an animation movie has not only impacts the children but also extends to the adults who accompany their kids to the movie. In fact, the fun element and the interesting set up of an animated movie also reach out to many teenagers. Disney has been in the forefront for making innumerable animated movies. Bambi is one of a kind. A beautiful movie with an amazing screenplay, Bambi managed to capture the hearts of one and all in 1942. It created a similar kind of magic, in the year 2006, which was named ’Bambi II’, as it was a sequel to Bambi. The artists who created Bambi had a pair of real, live fawns in the studio to observe, so that they could make the animated movements as close to real as possible. As for the background, Maurice Jay, the artist, actually spent time in the forests of the Eastern Woodlands to get the feel right.

Bambi is a baby deer and he completely adores his friends Thumper, the rabbit and Flower the skunk. Some of the famous dialogues in the movie are, "I'm thumpin! That's why they call me Thumper!" "Whatcha doin'? Hibernatin'?" is a memorable dialogue by Bambi. Bambi II introduced new characters called the groundhog, the porcupine and Mena.

Bambi is a love story of Bambi and Faline. As they struggle through so many hardships together, they also make space for themselves in people’s hearts. Bambi had a powerful yet a soft touch to it. Singing songs with Faline and romancing her, is an extremely cute thought. An instance where he saves her from chasing dogs and emerges a victor signifies human-like emotions that an animal can have.

Various parts of the movie portray the unkind human and his destructive shadows. Bambi is shot while a deer hunt is on by humans in the forest, but being the hero, he escapes and reaches Faline. This amazingly touching story ends with Faline birthing twin fawns.

The production team of Walt Disney had actually sent for two baby fawns named Bambi and Faline. This was to encourage the artists to see live movements of these animals. David Hand directed the movie and Brian Pimental directed Bambi II. Bambi II basically picked up from the first half of Bambi and it continued from there to show how The Great Prince, successfully raised Bambi since his mother was shot. It ended with another very touching scene of Bambi and his father bonding like never before.

Other animated movies like the Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Alice in wonderland, Sleeping Beauty and the Jungle Book are also very famous.
