Bridget JonesBridget Jones is a well-known character created by the English author, Helen Fielding. She wrote articles on this fictional character in the form of diary in different newspapers, which gained extreme popularity amongst women. Later, these newspaper columns were published in a novel, Bridget Jones's Diary in 1996. This book inspired a movie of the same name which was released in 2001. Bridget Jones's Diary was directed by Sharon Maguire and distributed by Universal Pictures. The main cast of the movie included Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant. Bridget Jones's Diary revolved around Bridget Jones who is a frustrated single woman in her thirties. The movie focuses on her personal life and her relationships with Lawyer Mark Darcy and her boss, Daniel Cleaver. The soundtrack of this movie became extremely popular and featured hit songs like Out of Reach and It's Raining Men. Sequel to the movie Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason was released in 2004. This movie too featured the same star cast. This movie was directed by Beeban Kidron and distributed by Universal Pictures. Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason continues from where the first movie ended. It focuses on the relationship between her, Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver. Bridget Jones DVDs are available for the fans.
