Catherine TateEnglish comedian Catherine Tate (born Catherine Ford) was born on the 12th of May 1968 in London. She spent a year with the Royal Shakespeare Company and then started her stint as a stand-up comedian in 1996. She started her acting career with television shows like Casualty and The Bill. She also made appearances in other comedy shows like Barking, The Harry Hill Show, and That Peter Kay Thing. In the year 2000 at Edinburgh, Catherine Tate got involved with the New Bits show nominated by Lee Mack’s Perrier. Discovered at the show, she was presented a role in the comedy Wild West. Catherine Tate began her own show called ’The Catherine Tate Show’ and won British Comedy Award for Best Comedy Newcomer for the same in 2004. The show was a huge success. She was invited to the 77th Royal Variety Performance as a guest celebrity. She made an appearance in 2005 in the television adaptation of Bleak House. She appeared in the popular series Doctor Who in 2006 in the ’Doomsday’ episode.
