CharmedCharmed is an American television series that was broadcasted on the Warner Brother Television Network from 1998 to 2006 and series ran for eight seasons. The creator of the series, Constance M. Burge, also known as Connie Burge, has been a writer and a producer of several TV series including Ally McBeal. Charmed was produced by Aaron Spelling. The plot revolved around three good witch sisters. The sisters possessed unique magical powers and belonged to a supernatural community where they were known as "The Charmed Ones." To everyone else they were the Halliwells. The Charmed Ones stay in Halliwell Manor, a fictional house. The sisters use their supernatural powers to fight against the warlocks, demons and other evil forces that are in San Francisco, California. The series was a mixture of many genres including horror, fantasy, comedy and even soap. On January 15, 2006, Charmed became one of the longest running shows with all female-leads and ended with its finale "Forever Charmed" season that gained 4.49 million viewers. The theme song of the series, "How Soon Is Now?", was originally recorded by The Smiths and became quite popular. The version used for the show was performed by the band called Love Spit Love. The story starts with three sisters: Prue, Piper and Phoebe coming together to live in Manor after six months of their grandmother’s death. The younger sister, Phoebe, first discovers the Book of Shadows. After a couple of strange occurrences, sisters realise that they are witches. |
