Crossroads

Playing the role of a young confused American teenager named Lucy, Britney Spears debuted in her first Hollywood venture titled ’Crossroads’. Spears, popular American pop singer and youth idol, plays the role of Lucy who wants to pursue music in college whereas her father plans for her to graduate as a doctor. Torn between the conflicts of herself and her dad’s wishes, Lucy leaves home to attend a singing contest held in LA. Joined by her mates Mimi and Kit, Lucy gets going towards her much awaited success at the contest.

Whilst travelling in "Crossroads", the group faces many hindrances along with mutual incompatibilities as well as problems with one another. On their way, a certain guitarist Ben (played by Anson Mount) picks them up for a drive towards LA. As they near their destination, Kit arranges to meet her fiancÈ, Dylan, who turns out to be in bed with another of his ’girlfriends’. Dylan is also revealed as the person who raped Mimi and caused her pregnancy. Mimi learns the horrible truth and tries to flee the room, tripping over stairs and fatally hurting her unborn baby. While Mimi is hospitalised, Lucy and Ben are busy having an intimate time back at their hotel.

The trio reassemble at the hospital and leave after Mimi is restored back to full health. The three girls then appear for the competition and successfully win it. With their friendship bonds grown much stronger, the trio frolic away at a beach. The movie ’Crossroads' and it's soundtracks by Britney spears can be availed on DVDs or CDs on popular online stores.
