CSI New YorkCSI New York (more appropriately CSI: NY), a spin-off of the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation series is an American television series focusing on post-crime procedures that police use to solve crime. As apparent with the name of the series, CSI New York is based in New York City and is more mild in terms of graphical depiction of violence than CSI: Miami and the original CSI: NY. The theme song for CSI: NY is "Baba O'Riley" by The Who. Created by Anthony E. Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue, the series stars Gary Sinise, Melina Kanakaredes, Carmine Giovinazzo, Anna Belknap, A.J. Buckley, Hill Harper and Eddie Cahill among others. CSI New York has had a run of 71 episodes across three seasons (23 in season one, 24 in season two, 24 in season three), and the series’ producers have confirmed a fourth season for the show. In UK, CSI: New York seasons were launched on DVD in two parts, with the entire season being later released in single box set. The entire CSI New York Season 1, CSI: NY Season 2 and CSI: NY Season 3 were released on DVD in UK in March 2006, October 2006 and October 2007 respectively. |
