Hellraiser

Hellraiser is a popular horror movie written and directed by Clive Barker based on his novel "The Hellbound Heart". First in the series of Hellraiser movies, it explored the theme of sadomasochism to the fullest - sadomasochists believe in deriving pleasure from pain. The movie was released in the United Kingdom by the title Clive Barker's Hellraiser. Released in 1987, several sequels followed which includes Hellbound: Hellraiser II, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, Hellraiser: Hellseeker, Hellraiser: Deader and several others. The movie was listed 19th in the cable channel Bravo's list of the "100 Scariest Movie Moments".

The story of Hellraiser is about Larry and his second wife, Julia, who come to stay in an old house only to be haunted by a hideous creature, Frank, who is Larry’s half-brother and Julia’s former lover. Having lost his earthly body, Frank forces his former lover to help him to regenerate his body. In the process, Frank kills several people helped by Julia. Kirsty, Larry's teenage daughter, discovers the truth and finds herself bargaining with the Cenobites, who are demons from another realm. What unfolds make up the rest of the story.
