Pirates of the Carribean

The Pirates of the Carribean film series are successful Walt Disney productions based on the adventures of a band of pirates on the high seas. So far three ’Pirates of the Carribean’ films have been released ñ ’The Curse of the Black Pearl,’ ’Dead Man’s Chest’ and ’At World’s End.’

These films feature such famous actors like Kiera Knightley, Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp. While Depp plays the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, an eccentric pirate leader, Knightley acts as the beautiful Elizabeth Swan, the governor’s daughter. Will Turner, played by Bloom, is a heroic young man deeply in love with Swan.

Directed by Gore Verbinski, Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man’s Chest, was released in 2003 to much critical acclaim. The plots of this iconic film series mostly deal with such topics as friendship, betrayal, bravery, cowardice, love, enmity and revenge. There is plenty of humour, drama, action and excitement in each of these movies. Although the ’Pirate of the Caribbean’ movies deal with fictitious supernatural events in a bygone era, they still appeal to all types of movie goers.

There is great demand among British film enthusiasts for DVDs of ’Pirates of the Carribean 2’ and ’Pirates of the Carribean 3.’ The ’Pirate of the Carribean - Dead Man’s Chest’ DVD is much sought after in this region.
