Initially, she studied medicine; however, later she gave up medicine as she wanted to take up something creative and interesting. By chance, she joined Carita School to learn about makeup and beauty treatments. Later, she became a prominent make up artist and also worked with Carita sisters to continue to learn about make up. Terry de Gunzburg went on to work with Yves Saint Laurent for around 14 years and in the process studied business operations, marketing, fashion trends and colours palettes closely. Over a period of time, Terry worked with best photographers, designers, models and celebrities. It is with these experiences, she founded the now famous By Terry brand.
